Small sewage works
If
you are not close to the local water company’s sewerage network
then the chances are that you will be responsible for your own sewage
treatment and disposal. Formal regulation of the discharge
in the UK is carried out by the Environment Agency who set standards
for each site that has a flow greater than 5m3/d and
discharges to a surface water. If your treatment plant doesn’t
meet the standards then you are likely to become liable to prosecution.
Even individual properties, served by a septic tank, may suffer
problems, causing local pollution, for which you are liable.
Our experience with sewage treatment systems dates from 1974. Whether you are an individual householder, with septic tank problems, a Local Authority having problems with your Housing Act sewage works, or the operator of a commercial business with its own full treatment plant, we can provide detailed technical consultancy, delivering completely impartial advice regarding the available options to solve your problems.
