Building Services:
Stretton Associates were contacted when the University of Sheffield discovered that in many of the refurbished areas of the University, water coming through the cold and hot water systems was discoloured with a high copper content. The University sought the services of a specialist water scientist to investigate and identify solutions to the problem.
"Mr Chris Stretton’s investigation and research to identify the causes of the problem was thorough and fully documented and enabled the University to commence detailed discussions with senior Yorkshire Water scientists and managers to try to resolve the problem. Mr Stretton was also instrumental in initiating the tripartite consultations involving the Drinking Water Inspectorate to further progress towards resolution. The University was very satisfied with the quality of the work done and would definitely use Stretton Associates again for a complex water problem."
